Message on the 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time (Yr B)
My dear people,
It was truly WONDERFUL to see many of you back at church last weekend. I hope that, as things get progressively more settled, we will continue to see the number of people coming to Mass increase. I repeat, there is no greater feeling for a priest than to see people at church on a Sunday and it was just BRILLIANT to be there with you.
For the time being, we will continue with the booking system to attend Mass only on the weekends ie all Masses on Saturday and Sunday. This includes Mass at 9.30am on Saturday morning. There is no longer a need to book for Masses from Monday to Friday. Bookings for the weekend of 13th/14th November will open at 1pm this Sunday.
A gentle reminder that the Fully Vaccinated Masses are for those who have received TWO doses of the vaccine and you must produce proof of vaccination or proof of exemption when you arrive in the church.
Last Saturday was the last zoom session of praying the rosary together. I enjoyed it very much and thank all those who attended it regularly.
May I remind you that the Town Hall Follow Up meeting will be this evening at 7:30pm. May I again strongly encourage you to send your comments, queries and questions to our parish email address at carolinesprings@cam.org.au. The meeting will be via ZOOM: https://zoom.us/j/93544751009. Once the Follow Up meeting has concluded, we will put the recording of the Town Hall on the website.
The confirmations of the grade 6 students at Saint George Preca will start this Sunday afternoon and continue over the next week. May I invite you to keep these candidates and their families in your prayers as they prepare and celebrate this wonderful celebration of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
We are also resuming the celebration of Baptism this weekend and likewise, I invite to pray for these babies and their families.
We continue turning to our patron saint and we ask for her intercession.
St Catherine of Siena, Pray for us.
Yours sincerely in Christ,
Fr Richard Rosse PP
