Message on the Solemnity of Christ the King (Yr B)
Friday 19th November 2021
My dear people,
How wonderful it was to hear from the Premier yesterday that the cap on the number of people who can attend Mass would be lifted. It seems that we are going to return to a way of life which will be very similar to our lives prior to March 2020. Praise Jesus!
We will be using the booking system to attend Mass for the Fully Vaccinated for one last time this weekend. From Monday 22nd November, there will be no need to book for any of the Fully Vaccinated Masses in the parish. The schedule of Masses for the Fully Vaccinated from Monday will be as follows:
Monday: 9:30am, Tuesday 7pm, Wednesday to Saturday: 9:30am and 6pm, and Sunday: 9 and 10:30am.
The schedule of Masses of the Unknown Vaccination Status (Cap increased to 50) will be Monday to Friday 8am, Saturday 4:30pm and Sunday 12pm. Owing to the 50-person cap for Unknown Vaccination Status Masses, it is necessary to book. The booking will open at 1pm on Sunday 21st November.
A gentle reminder that the Fully Vaccinated Masses are only for those who have received TWO doses of the vaccine and you must produce proof of vaccination or proof of exemption when you arrive in the church.
May I take this opportunity to clarify something I mentioned in my message last week. In August 2018, I was asked to be the “Diocesan Liturgical Consultant” of the archdiocese when Archbishop Comensoli became our archbishop. I have only resigned that position. I have not resigned my position as Parish Priest here.
We continue turning to our patron saint and we ask for her intercession.
St Catherine of Siena, Pray for us.
Yours sincerely in Christ,
Fr Richard Rosse PP
