MESSAGE ON THE 4TH SUNDAY OF LENT (YR C)
My dear people,
Our Stewardship Renewal Program has had positive results. Mr Frank Schobben is working out the final details of the program and these will be made known to you as soon as possible. The next sets of envelopes starting from 3rd April are available in the gathering space.
Last Saturday evening, the Men’s Group of the parish, Men of St Catherine’s, recommenced meeting after more than a year’s break. Please be advised that all men of the parish are very welcome to join our parish Men’s Group. We usually meet on a Friday evening at the presbytery for some fellowship. During Lent, I thought it best to meet on a Saturday instead of a Friday of Lent. Last Saturday evening’s meeting saw ten men of the parish come together and we had a wonderful time.
The Praesidium of the Legion of Mary in our parish is welcoming new members to join them. They will start meeting on Monday evenings from 4th April in the meeting rooms of the church. If you would like to join them, please call Antoinette Spiteri on 04042 423 826.
We continue to pray for Ukraine. The horrors perpetrated there at the moment should not stop making us sad but let us not despair and continue to pray for a prompt end to this senseless war. May Our Lady of Peace also intercede for us at this terrible time. The Novena of Prayers for peace is going very well. The details of the times of the novena are available in the church and on our parish Facebook page.
I wish all of you a blessed fourth Sunday of Lent and May God bless you.
We continue turning to our patron saint and we ask for her intercession.
St Catherine of Siena, Pray for us.
Yours sincerely in Christ,
Fr Richard Rosse PP
