A New Discipleship Journey in Our Parish

Earlier this February, our parish launched VIA — a new discipleship journey designed to help people grow deeper in their relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

VIA is for anyone seeking more — for those who want to systematically learn more about their Catholic faith, grow, and continue their journey in a supportive and meaningful way. At its heart, VIA is about intentional discipleship lived out through friendship, formation, Scripture, and prayer.

What does VIA look like?

VIA is built around two key experiences that help foster both learning and community:

1. Monthly Gatherings
These larger gatherings bring everyone together for an evening of:

Fellowship and connection
Engaging video content exploring different aspects of the Catholic faith
Small group discussions to reflect on our own experiences, plus what we believe and why
Prayer and time with God

These nights are an opportunity not only to grow in understanding, but also to build genuine community within the parish.

2. Small Group Meetups (monthly)
In addition to the main gatherings, each small group meets once a month in a more personal setting. These gatherings are a bit more flexible and shaped by the group itself — whether that’s sharing a meal, enjoying coffee or tea etc. Groups use this time to chat up, reflect on Scripture, share their thoughts, and support one another.

It’s in these smaller, more intimate spaces that friendships deepen and faith is lived out in everyday life.

How is VIA different?

VIA is intended to complement our parish’s Alpha programs, our various Ablaze groups and other initiatives! More specially, while Alpha focuses on encountering God and discovering the foundations of our faith, VIA is about continuing the journey — going deeper into what it means to live as Catholic disciples of Jesus and growing together as a community.
