PLT Parish Update January, February & March 2025
Key Focus Areas of the PLT during this period:
- PLT Planning Day – 15th February 2025
- The Planning Day began with 9:30 AM Mass attended by the entire PLT team.
- Richard invited Margaret to lead the morning Rosary, dedicating it to the success of the Planning Day.
- The main focus of the day was an in-depth health check of the Ten Values aligned to Missionary Renewal, those being:
- Giving Priority to the Weekend
- Hospitality
- Uplifting Music
- Great Homilies
- Meaningful Community
- Clear Expectations
- Strength-Based Ministry
- Formation of Small Communities
- Experience of the Holy Spirit
- An Invitational Church
- Alpha Planning
- The Alpha Team has expanded to 9 members, with 6 of them being past Alpha participants.
- The team gathered on 2nd April for training and preparation for the upcoming Alpha series.
- The evening began with prayer and a light supper.
- A training video was viewed.
- Team members received resources focused on team-building and running effective Alpha sessions.
- The new Alpha series commenced on 23rd April.
- Leadership Summit Planning
- The PLT reviewed the structure of the Leadership Summits and made a strategic shift.
- Reduced from 4 to 3 summits, now to be held on Saturdays instead of weeknights.
- This change allows more time for content, deeper group discussions, and better engagement from leaders.
- The key focus of these summits will be to:
- Revisit the “Five Systems of a Missional Parish.”
- Ensure that the systems are effectively communicated and implemented from leaders down to ministry members.
